いま『孤独のグルメ』がいま世界5カ国で訳されてるんだけど、その話をするとみんな「外国の人にわかるんですか？」って言うんですよね。「高崎の焼きまんじゅうの味をイタリアの人はわかるのか？」みたいな。イタリアの人はもちろん味はわかんないんだけど、「辛いと思ったら甘かった」とか、「つい頼みすぎた」とか、そういうことはあるから彼の気持ちはわかる。それで非常に食べてみたくなるって言うんですよ。
